The combination of the three cities in Banten Province experienced inflation in September 2022 of 1.12 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Cilegon Municipality at 1.40 percent.

Abstract

In September 2022 there was an inflation of 1.12 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 112.84. The three CPI cities in Banten Province experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Cilegon Municipality at 1.40 percent with a CPI of 115.56. Followed by Serang Municipality at 1.23 percent with a CPI of 116.96, and Tangerang Municipality at 1.06 percent with a CPI of 111.66.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index of 9 expenditure groups, namely the transportation group by 10.44 percent; health group by 1.99 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.57 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.45 percent; personal care and other services group by 0.29 percent; education group by 0.28 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.26 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.23 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.04 percent. Meanwhile, the food, beverage and tobacco group experienced a decrease in index by 0.79 percent. Meanwhile, the information, communication and financial services group was less than 0.01 percent.
Calendar year inflation (September 2022 - December 2021) is 4.85 percent, and year-on-year inflation (September 2022 to September 2021) is 5.86 percent.
