Gini Ratio in March 2022 was recorded at 0.363

Abstract

  • In March 2022, the level of inequality in the expenditure of the population of Banten Province as measured by the Gini Ratio was 0.363. This figure is the same as the Gini Ratio in September 2021 and decreased by 0.002 points compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2021 which was 0.365.
  • The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2022 was recorded at 0.367, up from the Gini Ratio in September 2021 which was 0.365 and decreased compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2021 which was 0.369.
  • The Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2022 was recorded at 0.287, up from the Gini Ratio in September 2021 which was 0.278 and the Gini Ratio in March 2021 which was 0.280.
  • Based on the World Bank's measure of inequality, the distribution of spending in the bottom 40 percent is 18.99 percent. This means that population spending in March 2022 is in the category of low inequality. If broken down by region, in urban areas the figure was recorded at 18.67 percent, which means that it belongs to the category of low inequality. Meanwhile, for rural areas, the figure was recorded at 22.53 percent, which means that it belongs to the category of low inequality.
