Abstract

In July 2022 there was an inflation of 0.28 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 111.76. The three CPI cities in Banten Province experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Serang City at 0.50 percent with a CPI of 115.73. Followed by the city of Cilegon at 0.44 percent with a CPI of 114.48. Followed by the city of Tangerang with 0.21 percent with a CPI of 110.61.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index of 8 expenditure groups, namely the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 1.61 percent; transportation group by 0.43 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.32 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.18 percent; education group by 0.17 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.14 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.07 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the other three expenditure groups experienced a decrease in index, namely the personal care and other services group by 0.19 percent; health group by 0.04 percent; and the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.01 percent.
Calendar year inflation (July 2022 - December 2021) is 3.84 percent, and year-on-year inflation (July 2022 to July 2021) is 4.88 percent.
