Abstract

In January 2023 there was year on year (yoy) inflation in the city of Serang. Inflation that occurred in Serang was 6.55 percent with a CPI of 118.14. January 2023 month-to-month (mtm) inflation for the city of Serang was 0.33 percent.
Year on year (yoy) inflation in Serang City occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index of 11 expenditure groups, namely the transportation group by 19.75 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 7.24 percent; personal care and other services group of 6.91 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.88 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group of 5.86 percent; the health group by 5.52 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 4.42 percent; recreation, sport and culture group by 3.97 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.09 percent; the education group by 0.99 percent; Meanwhile, the information, communication and financial services group experienced a deflation of 0.61 percent.
Month to month (mtm) inflation in Serang City occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index of 10 expenditure groups, namely the recreation, sports and culture group by 2.71 percent; the health group by 1.80 percent; the education group by 0.62 percent; personal care and other services group by 0.61 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.59 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.55 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.39 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.13 percent; clothing and footwear group of less than 0.01 percent. Meanwhile the transportation group was 0.93 percent; the information, communication and financial services group experienced a deflation of 0.05 percent.
