Abstract

A. Export Development

  • Banten's December 2022 export value fell 5.78 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$1.14 billion to US$1.08 billion.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in December 2022 decreased by 5.75 percent to US$1.08 billion compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export value in December 2022 came from the footwear category (HS 64), which reached US$188.63 million.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in December 2022 is China with an export value of US$144.87 million.
  • December 2022 non-oil and gas exports experienced a decline in the manufacturing industry sector. Meanwhile, the agricultural sector as well as the mining and other sectors experienced an increase.
  • Banten's highest export value in December 2022 was through the Port of Tanjung Priok which reached US$864.97 million.

B. Import Development

  • Banten's December 2022 import value rose 29.07 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$1.16 billion to US$1.50 billion.
  • Oil and gas imports in December 2022 rose 18.53 percent from US$465.25 million in the previous month to US$551.46 million. Then, for non-oil and gas commodities, the value of imports increased by 36.07 percent to US$951.93 million compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas import value in December 2022 came from the organic chemicals group (HS 29) which reached US$207.94 million.
  • The largest supplier of imported non-oil and gas goods in December 2022 was Australia with an import value of US$145.01 million.
  • The value of imports by category of use of goods in December 2022 compared to the previous month experienced an increase in value for all groups, namely capital goods increased by US$113.77 million (541.79 percent), consumption goods by US$3.72 million (17.85 percent), and raw/auxiliary materials of US$221.09 million (19.69 percent).
  • Judging from the port of discharge, the largest import value for December 2022 came from the Port of Merak which reached US$940.65 million.
