Abstract

There was an increase in the number of Agricultural Business Households (RTUP) and a decrease in the number of Individual Farm Businesses (UTP) in the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023) results compared to the ST2013 results in Banten Province.

The number of Agricultural Business Households in Banten Province as a result of the 2023 Agricultural Census was 601,593 households.
The number of agricultural businesses from the ST2023 results in Banten Province was 609,567 units consisting of 609,226 Individual Agricultural Businesses (UTP), 209 Legalized Agricultural Companies (UPB), and 132 Other Agricultural Businesses (UTL).
The number of individual agricultural businesses (UTP) in Banten Province was 609,226 units, down 8.43 percent from 665,330 units in 2013.
The number of Agricultural Business Households (RTUP) in Banten Province was 601,593 households, up 1.48 percent from 2013 which was 592,841 households.
The ratio of Individual Farm Businesses (UTP) in Banten Province to Agricultural Business Households (RTUP) amounted to 1.01, down 0.11 points from 2013 which amounted to 1.12.
The number of Legalized Agricultural Companies (UPB) in Banten Province is 209 units, up 115.46 percent from 2013 which was 97 units.
The number of Other Agricultural Enterprises (UTL) in Banten Province in 2023 was 132 units, up 76.00 percent from 2013 which was 75 units.
The number of millennial farmers aged 19-39 years is 46,561 people, or about 7.64 percent of farmers in Banten Province.
The number of Urban Farming Individual Agricultural Businesses in Banten Province is 522 units.
The top ten commodities cultivated by Individual Farming Enterprises (UTP) are: inbred paddy rice, coconut, common native chicken, sengon/jeunjing/albazia, melinjo, other banana, mahogany, clove, other durian, and petai.
