Development of Farmer’s Term of Trade and Grain Prices in Banten Province in July 2024

·      Banten's FTT in July 2024 was 106.82, an increase of 3.08 percent from the previous month's FTT. This was due to an increase in the Farmer Received Price Index (It) of 2.66 percent, while the Farmer Paid Price Index (Ib) decreased by 0.41 percent.

·      In July 2024, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index in Banten Province of 0.52 percent. The decrease in the Household Consumption Index occurred in one expenditure group, namely Food, Beverages and Tobacco. Meanwhile, the increase in the Household Consumption Index occurred in eight expenditure groups, namely Household Supplies, Equipment and Routine Maintenance; Personal Care and Other Services; Provision of Food and Beverages/Restaurants; Clothing and Footwear; Recreation, Sports, and Culture; Health; Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuel; and Transportation. Meanwhile, the Education and Information, Communication, and Financial Services expenditure groups did not experience significant changes. The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in July 2024 was 111.90 or an increase of 2.65 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.

·      The price of paddy at the farmer level in July 2024 experienced an increase in the quality of Dry Milled Paddy (GKG) by 5.49 percent and an increase in the quality of Dry Harvested Paddy (GKP) by 14.84 percent.

·      The average price of paddy in July 2024 at the farmer level for GKG quality was IDR 6,589, and GKP IDR 6,133 per kg. For GKG quality, the highest price was IDR 6,800 for the Ciherang and Inpari 32 HDB varieties, and the lowest price was IDR 6,400 for the Ciherang variety.
