Abstract
• In March 2018, the level of inequality of Banten population expenditure as measured by Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.385. This figure rose by 0.006 points when compared with the Gini Ratio of September 2017 which was 0.379.
• Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2018 was recorded at 0.386 compared to Gini Ratio of September 2017 which was 0.380. Gini Ratio in rural areas also increased from 0.270 in September 2017 to 0.283 in March 2018.
• In March 2018, the distribution of expenditure of the lowest 40 percent population group was 17.54 percent. This means that the population expenditure is still in the category of low level of inequality. If detailed by region, in urban areas the figure is recorded at 17.23 percent and in rural areas of 21.98 percent.
