The level of inequality in expenditure for Banten residents in September 2019 decreased. The Gini Ratio in September 2019 was 0.361.

Abstract

In September 2019, the level of inequality in Banten population expenditure measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.361. This figure is down 0.004 points when compared to the March 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.365.
Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2019 was recorded at 0.355, down compared to March 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.360. Similarly, the Gini Ratio in rural areas decreased from 0.294 in March 2019 to 0.292 in September 2019.
In September 2019, the distribution of the lowest 40 percent population expenditure was 18.55 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the category of low inequality. When broken down by region, in urban areas the figure was 18.53 percent and in rural areas 22.23 percent.
