April 2020 the combined inflation of 3 City of CPI in Banten Province was 0.25 percent.

In April 2020 there was inflation of 0.25 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.08. Of the 3 CPI cities in Banten Province, all cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tangerang City by 0.26 percent with CPI of 106.67 followed by Serang city of 0.23 with CPI of 106.73. Similar to the other two cities, Cilegon City experienced inflation of 0.20 percent with CPI of 105.77.

 Inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by an increase in most of the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.23 percent; clothing and footwear group of 0.06 percent; housing, water, electricity and other fuels by 0.01 percent; household appliances, equipment and routine maintenance by 0.08 percent; health group of 0.09 percent; transportation group by -0.58 percent; information, communication and financial services group of -0.08 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by -0.15 percent; education group by 0,00 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0,74 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 3.34 percent.

The April 2020 calendar year inflation rate is 0.95 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (April 2020 to April 2019) is 2.99 percent.
