Inflation in November 2020 was 0.14 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Cilegon with 0.23 percent

Abstract

In November 2020 there was an inflation of 0.14 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.38. The three CPI cities in Banten Province experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Cilegon City with 0.23 percent with the CPI of 106.67. Followed by the city of Serang with 0.15 percent with a CPI of 107.14 and the city of Tangerang at 0.13 percent with a CPI of 104.86.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for the clothing and footwear category by 0.72; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.69 percent; the equipment, tools, and household routine maintenance group by 0.34 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.09 percent; health group by 0.06 percent. While other groups that experienced a decrease in index, namely: the personal care and other services group by 1.26 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.28 percent; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.08 percent; the transportation group by 0.03 percent. The information, communication, and financial services group and the education group experienced changes in index but not significantly by less than 0.01 percent.
The inflation rate for the November 2020 calendar year is 1.23 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2020 against November 2019) is 1.43 percent.
