Abstract

In April 2023 the prices of goods and services needed by the people of Tangerang City generally increased, this can be seen from the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 112.70 in March 2023 to 113.47 in April 2023 or there was a change inflation index of 0.68 percent.
The transportation group was the expenditure group that experienced the highest inflation, amounting to 11.86 percent. Followed by the personal care and other services group of 5.52 percent. Then the health group increased by 4.58 percent, the equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group increased by 4.14 percent, and the food, beverage and tobacco group increased by 3.02 percent, while 6 other expenditure groups experienced an increase in inflation. between 0 - 2 percent.
The inflation rate for the calendar year (April 2023 to December 2022) is 1.48 percent, and the year-on-year inflation rate for April 2023 to April 2022 is 3.46 percent.
The five commodities that contributed the most to yoy inflation this month consisted of gasoline, house rent, rice, filter clove cigarettes and inter-city transportation. Meanwhile, the five commodities contributing the highest to deflation consisted of cooking oil, red chilies, purebred chicken, wet shrimp and kale.
Meanwhile, the five commodities that contributed the highest to mom inflation (month to month) consisted of inter-city transportation, air freight, tomatoes, filter clove cigarettes and gold jewelry. This increase in the transportation sector occurred in connection with the Eid Al-Fitr Celebration so that many people took advantage of this moment to go home for Eid. While the five commodities that contributed the highest to mom deflation consisted of wet shrimp, cayenne pepper, mustard greens, tuna and cooking oil.
