Development of Banten Exports and Imports, January 2024

A.      Export Development

• Banten's export value in January 2024 increased 5.04 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$1.00 billion to US$1.05 billion.
• Non-oil and gas exports in January 2024 increased by 5.18 percent to US$1.04 billion compared to the previous month.
• The largest non-oil and gas export value in January 2024 came from the footwear goods category (HS 64), reaching US$173.13 million.
• The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in January 2024 is the United States with an export value of US$166.83 million.
• Non-oil and gas exports in January 2024 will increase in all sectors.
• Banten's export value in January 2024 was highest through Tanjung Priok Port, reaching US$822.25 million.

B.      Import Development

• Banten's import value in January 2024 fell 2.82 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$3.03 billion to US$2.95 billion.
• Oil and gas imports in January 2024 fell 1.20 percent from US$527.42 million in the previous month to US$521.07 million. Likewise, for non-oil and gas commodities, there was a decrease in the value of imports by 3.16 percent to US$2.43 billion compared to the previous month.
• The largest non-oil and gas import value in January 2024 came from electrical machinery/equipment (HS 85) which reached US$606.27 million.
• The largest supplier of non-oil and gas imported goods in January 2024 was China with an import value of US$575.84 million.
• The value of imports according to goods use categories in January 2024 compared to the previous month decreased in all categories. The value of capital goods decreased by US$30.73 million (5.03 percent). Likewise, the raw/auxiliary materials and consumer goods categories decreased by US$29.01 million (1.33 percent) and US$25.74 million (11.00 percent), respectively.
