Abstract

CPI in Banten Province, all cities experience inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Cilegon City by 0.46 percent with CPI of 105.44 and the lowest occurred in Serang City by 0.17 percent with CPI of 106.25. Meanwhile Tangerang City experienced inflation of 0.21 percent with CPI of 104.41.

Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in most indexes of the expenditure group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.00 percent; clothing and footwear group of 0.09 percent; housing, water, electricity and other fuels by 0.10 percent; household appliances, equipment and routine maintenance group by -0.02 percent; health group of 0.08 percent; transportation group by -0.83 percent; information, communication and financial services group of -0.05 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0,00 percent; education group by 0.06 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.09 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 0.39 percent.

The inflation rate for the calendar year February 2020 is 0.66 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (February 2020 in February 2020) 3.09 percent.
