Development of Banten Exports and Imports, February 2024

A.     Export Development

• Banten's export value in February 2024 fell 9.58 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$1.05 billion to US$0.95 billion.
• Non-oil and gas exports in February 2024 decreased by 9.18 percent to US$0.95 billion compared to the previous month.
• The largest non-oil and gas export value in February 2024 came from the footwear goods category (HS 64), reaching US$182.34 million.
• The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in February 2024 is China with an export value of US$137.60 million.
• Non-oil and gas exports in February 2024 experienced a decline in all sectors, except for the agricultural sector and the mining sector and others.
• Banten's export value in February 2024 was highest through Tanjung Priok Port, reaching US$839.14 million.

B.     Import Development

• Banten's import value in February 2024 fell 2.52 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$2.95 billion to US$2.88 billion.
• Oil and gas imports in February 2024 fell 22.53 percent from US$521.07 million in the previous month to US$403.65 million. Meanwhile, for non-oil and gas commodities, the value of imports increased by 1.78 percent to US$2.47 billion compared to the previous month.
• The largest non-oil and gas import value in February 2024 came from electrical machinery/equipment (HS 85) which reached US$605.36 million.
• The largest supplier of non-oil and gas imported goods in February 2024 is China with an import value of US$491.10 million.
• The value of imports by goods use class in February 2024 compared to the previous month decreased in the raw/auxiliary materials class by US$177.17 million (8.20 percent). Meanwhile, the value of capital goods and consumer goods increased, respectively increasing by US$68.86 million (11.86 percent) and US$34.07 million (16.36 percent).
